FAQs

Q: How much will it cost?

  • People come in different shapes and sizes, and the amount of hair in individual areas does vary considerably with each client. Without coming in for the free consultation it is hard to give an accurate quote. However we do have an estimated price list.

Q: Am I a good candidate for laser?

  • Individuals with fair skin and dark hair are typically the best candidate. However, the Lightsheer can easily adapt to various skin types by changing the settings. Unfortunately, if you have “peach fuzz”, white hairs or grey, even pregnant or taking photosensitive medication, laser will not work to its full potential or not at all.

Q: How many sessions will I need?

  • The number of sessions depends a lot on how dedicated the client is to the treatment. It is necessary a session between 4 to 8 weeks. Once started the treatments it is important that at least once a month a session is done. Also, it depends on home care, it is important that during the days in between the laser session that the client shaves. Shaving makes the hairs coarser and more visible to the laser beam to cash them. Another reason that it can take a longer period of time to finish the laser treatment is the skins pigmentation. Someone with darker skin can need a few more sessions then a person with light skin. The lighter skin allows the technician to use higher numbers for there is no risk of burning the skin.   With darker skin tones, the number have to be lower and the light has to go in deeper into the skin, so not to mistaken skin for hair.

Q: When is it a good time to start?

  • The suggested time to start would be in the winter. This way the client can be hairless for the summer and be able to catch sun. The lighter the skin is the better. If the client has a tan, it is highly recommended to reconsider laser after the tan has faded.
